Charlie & Me

My nearest and dearest Charlie our 20 years together and our special moments like hills for miles with loads of smiles good and bad times.
Horses for courses as well as harness at Harkness you poured your heart and soul into as your gut instinct on the money always you were forever so proud.
Our trips to Philip Island were complete madness at the best of times you were always the centre of attention with your smart dress and mum would always say and touch your head you’ve got very good thick hair and smile.

My home in Avondale Heights not far from June you so enjoyed given you could take time out to clear your head of a good or bad day late night out the club.I shall never forget the call your first heart attack I got that call Charlie is in his way your place his had a heart attack Lisa no tell him go to hospital don’t bring him here Victor I’m on my way.
Emergency I’m coming home to your place Liza yes if your ok let’s wait and see doctors coming in look you will have to stay overnight to see tests you have suffered a heart attack Mr Chircop your reply
Oh?
Charlie you stayed reluctantly and the following morning family, friends club myself you had to have operation we spent a great deal at my place and you got some rest as we would travel up to Harkness check that the home was ok as well as the horses.

There were only one Charlie to travel through my heart as the hooves of my beloved late horse and with shock and sadness I learnt last night that you had left your spirit behind so un canny I was telling those I will have to go see Charlie tell him if my latest purchase a Filly by Trapeze Artist a good sire like yourself I must say smart, cheeky and a larakin at times I must admit waiting for me to laugh like mad.
I loved you back then as you I and always you would tell your family and mine or friend Lisa this is the one I love she is to smart for me and we should elope like the favorite Let’s Elope who won the Melbourne Cup and you put your tractor on her to win up at the barn I was yelling her home with each and every breath and heartbeat.
The mare adorns my lounge room wall to which you would laugh I put the tractor on her Liza yes I know Charlie and smile.

I will miss our relationship but above all your smile and your strange way of doing or saying something that you are passionate about a card game or Saturday night at the Valley. We are islands in the Stream our love and memories I will treasure💙.
